PSG edged Auxerre 1-0, Lucas Beraldo standing out at centre-back while Senny Mayulu endured a quiet night under Luis Enrique’s scrutiny.

According to L'Équipe, Zabarnyi steadied after his difficult cameo in Lisbon with a firm first half, then a looser spell marked by errant distribution. Beraldo was largely assured and combative, though his left foot offered limited progression.

Auxerre goalkeeper Léon excelled, denying Barcola early, Ramos, then Kvaratskhelia and Mbaye, before being beaten late by Barcola.

Right wing-back L. Sy contained Barcola before the break, with Diomandé marshalling a back three and Akpa producing a key tackle on Dembélé. Pélissier kept a five-three-two that frustrated Paris, but his side were caught on a counter from their own corner.

In midfield, Zaïre-Emery struggled early then steadied. Mbaye faded after a bright opening and was replaced by D. Doué, while stand-in captain Vitinha was tidy but too safe. Mayulu contributed little in possession and was corrected by Enrique, though he did track back once decisively.

Chevalier had almost nothing to save. Dembélé’s introduction and a central role for Barcola shifted the momentum, the pair combining for the decisive break.
