Real Sociedad have signed United States forward Ava Seelenfreund, born in Truckee, California in 2001, from Portuguese club Torreense.
Diario Vasco reports that she scored five league goals and provided two assists in the league.
She expressed delight at the move, saying she had worked to reach this level, is eager to help the team and is motivated by playing in the domestic league. She called the switch from Portugal to Spain a significant step in her career and described herself as a hard-working player who looks to support team-mates. She has not played in the Champions League and said her expectations for the competition are high.
Laura Camino, Ainhoa Marín, Ainoa Campo, Esther Laborde and Sonya Keefe have also arrived this summer, with the aim of reaching the Women's Champions League.
La Real are due back at Zubieta on Tuesday for initial fitness testing. Six B team players have been called up to bolster the group, Maite Mendiburu, Iraia Soroa, Carlota Chacón, Ane Isasisasmendi, Nahia Azpirotz and Matilde Etxeberria.
