Avaí in talks over season-long loan for Palmeiras forward Sorriso

Avaí are in talks to take Palmeiras under-20 forward Sorriso on a season-long loan, after a proposed switch to FC Baniyas stalled late in negotiations.

According to Nosso Palestra, the Série B club are discussing a one-season deal and there is an expectation the situation could be resolved in the coming days.

Sorriso was a standout in the 2026 Copinha, contributing five goals and four assists across seven matches.

He has been with Palmeiras since 2024, earning his move after impressing at the 2024 tournament with Atlético Guaratinguerá, then signing once the competition ended.

The forward adapted quickly, featuring in 44 games in 2024 and 45 in 2025. His most prolific year was 2025 with 11 goals, up from 10 in 2024.
