Away from home, under-17s draw with Corinthians in the Brasileiro

São Paulo drew 1-1 with Corinthians this Monday (1) at Canindé, in São Paulo (SP), in the second round of the Brazilian U-17 Championship. Zabarelli scored for the Tricolor. With the result, the team moved to two points in the competition.

In a closely contested first half, Tricolor created the first chance of the match. Before the 10-minute mark, Nicolas Francisco received the ball in midfield and hit the crossbar. On a counterattack, in the 13th minute, the opponent opened the scoring. However, the Made In Cotia side responded quickly and leveled the match in the 22nd minute, with Zabarelli converting a penalty. In the play that led to the spot kick, Robert broke into the box and was brought down by the defender, who was sent off.

In the second half, Tricolor created good chances but was unable to score the go-ahead goal.

Now, the team turns its attention to the Paulista Championship. On Saturday (6), at 11 a.m., São Paulo hosts Clube Vital at CFA Laudo Natel, in Cotia. The next match in the Brazilian championship for the age group will also be at home, on June 9 at 3 p.m., against Flamengo.
