Villarreal are working through a clear week before hosting RCD Espanyol at La Cerámica on Monday, with Ayoze, Thomas and Kambwala back in recent sessions.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Ayoze Pérez has struggled for rhythm this season and, after a muscle problem, does not appear likely to feature against Espanyol.
Thomas Partey felt pubic discomfort in Leverkusen and was withdrawn at half-time. The former Arsenal midfielder has not produced a standout campaign and Marcelino publicly criticised his tempo after the last Champions League match.
Willy Kambwala is in a different place, continuing his work to return as soon as possible. He is still awaiting his debut after a pre-season hamstring tear.
Alfon González will also have to wait for his first appearance. Last week he was in the gym with a ball watching his team-mates, eager to train with them, and he remains absent. He will have to wait at least several weeks due to a muscle injury.
Logan Costa continues to work alone, while Foyth is starting his long recovery process.
