Azeez double secures third as Millwall book play-offs | OneFootball

Millwall beat Oxford United 2-0 at The Den on the final day, finishing third to confirm a Championship play-off spot as Femi Azeez struck twice.

In the 34th minute, Femi Azeez found the top corner from the centre after a fast break, finishing from Mihailo Ivanović's pass.

After the restart, Azeez doubled the lead from the right of the six-yard box (48.).

Jamie Cumming made six saves for Oxford United. Anthony Patterson preserved the clean sheet with a late stop from Mark Harris.

After the hour, the Lions introduced Billy Mitchell and Alfie Doughty, with Luke Cundle soon drawing another save as the hosts continued to create.

Four minutes were signalled at the end of each half.

The Lions registered 22 attempts, 14 corners and 66.3% possession. Oxford United mustered four attempts and one corner.

Azeez ends the league campaign on 11 goals. The Lions now turn to the promotion play-offs.
