Backed by their fans, Corinthians head to England for the Copa das Campeãs

On the night of this Tuesday (20th), the other half of the Corinthians Women's team delegation departed for London, England, to compete in the first edition of the Champions Cup (Club World Cup for the category). The Brabas will debut in the tournament next Wednesday (28th) at 9:30 AM against Gotham FC from the United States, in the tournament's semifinal at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford.

The Corinthians delegation – which departed throughout the afternoon and this evening – left directly from Parque São Jorge, the club's social headquarters, with all the necessary materials for the trip. To provide greater comfort, the delegation was divided so that everyone could travel in business class. In the middle of the afternoon, director Íris Sesso, coach Lucas Piccinato, and the following players embarked: Nicole, Thais Ferreira, Gi Fernandes, Duda Sampaio, Rhaizza, and Jhonson.

The other half of the delegation left Parque São Jorge in the middle of the night with support from members of Fiel Fazendinha and regular fans. Before the bus departure to Guarulhos airport, the Brabas athletes performed the 'poropopó'. They arrived at the airport lobby around 8:30 PM, with a flight scheduled for 11:40 PM.

In England, the players will be welcomed by Fiel Londres (Corinthians' local organized fan group), who will be with the Brabas during the international competition games. If they qualify, they will face Arsenal from England or ASFAR from Morocco. The final will be held at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners' stadium. Coach Lucas Piccinato has listed 26 athletes for the competition.
