Bayern Munich could miss out on signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Guehi is out of contract at Selhurst Park after the end of the season, and several clubs are keen to sign him for free.
Bayern have been heavily linked with a move for the England international in recent weeks, as the German giants see him as a potential replacement if Dayot Upamecano leaves the club.

Guehi was close to joining Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but the deal collapsed on deadline day after Palace failed to sign a replacement.
The defender has been a model professional and has continued to deliver top performances for the Eagles this season.
However, he has made it clear that he will not sign a new contract at Selhurst Park, which means Palace will lose him for free.
Selling him on a cut-price deal in January could be an option for them, and Manchester City are reportedly looking to make the best use of that.
According to a report from BBC Sport, Man City are emerging as contenders to sign the Palace skipper this January.
The Citizens are exploring a move for the England centre-back in the wake of defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias suffering injuries in the draw against Chelsea.
With John Stones also out injured, Pep Guardiola’s side are short of options at the back, and they could move for Guehi.
Christian Falk has told CFBayern that the German giants are not looking to sign him in the January window.
They are still hoping that Guehi will continue at Palace for the rest of the season, and they can secure his signing as a free agent in the summer.
The move from Man City is now seen as a bad sign for Bayern’s transfer plans.
The Bundesliga leaders are focusing on securing the contract extension of Dayot Upamecano, who has a few months remaining on his current deal.
