Bahia ‘to offer’ €3m for Cristian Olivera as Nacional push loan move

Grêmio forward Cristian Olivera will leave the club in the coming weeks, but his destination remains undecided amid interest from Nacional and Bahia.

According to GZH, Bahia have signalled they could buy the forward for around €3m, R$ 18.9m at current rates, which is more advantageous to Grêmio than a loan.

Nacional prefer a loan and have made an official proposal with an option to buy. Olivera has told Grêmio executives he wants to join the Uruguayan side, creating an impasse over his next move.

Behind the scenes, Nacional are already treating the signing as certain. The loan fee would be $200,000, with a $2m option to buy, roughly R$ 1.1m and R$ 10.7m respectively.

Olivera, the No 99, is under contract with Grêmio until December 2027.
