Double holder of the Yachine Trophy, Emiliano Martínez is once again among the 10 nominees for the award recognizing the best goalkeeper of the past season.

The 2022 World Cup champion lifted the trophy in 2023 and 2024, and with another win could further cement his place in history by claiming a third consecutive title.

However, despite his 19 clean sheets, he does not stand out as a favorite for the crown this year.

Winner in 2021, Gianluigi Donnarumma appears to be the frontrunner after sweeping all before him with PSG: the Champions League, Ligue 1, the French Cup, the Trophée des Champions, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Now at Manchester City, the Italian goalkeeper faces competition from Alisson Becker, Yassine Bounou, Lucas Chevalier, Thibaut Courtois, Jan Oblak, David Raya, Matz Sels, Yann Sommer, and of course Emiliano Martínez himself.
