The nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or have been announced, with the 70th edition set for 26 October at the London Palladium in London. According to Diario Vasco, France Football will hand out the sport's most prestigious individual prize in about six weeks.

The men's 30-player shortlist features Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Vinícius Jr. Also included are Harry Kane, Rodri, Lamine Yamal, Declan Rice and Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia.

The women's 30 include Alexia Putellas, Caroline Graham Hansen, Khadija Shaw, Alessia Russo and Vivianne Miedema. Other nominees are Mariona Caldentey, Patri Guijarro, Mapi León, Rose Lavelle and Ewa Pajor.

The men's Young Player list includes Kerim Alajbegović, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal and Warren Zaïre-Emery. The women's youth list features Veerle Buurman, Vicky López, Felicia Schröder, Clara Serrajordi and Lily Yohannes.

Men's goalkeeper nominees include Yassine Bounou, Thibaut Courtois, Emiliano Martínez, David Raya and Unai Simón. The women's list features Ann-Katrin Berger, Hannah Hampton, Lorena, Ayaka Yamashita and Cata Coll.

Men's coach contenders are Mikel Arteta, Luis de la Fuente, Unai Emery, Vincent Kompany and Luis Enrique. Jonatan Giráldez, Andrée Jeglertz, Nils Nielsen, Pere Romeu and Elena Sadiku are shortlisted for the women's award. Club of the Year finalists include Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Bodø/Glimt, Flamengo and Paris-SG for the men, and FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Club América, Manchester City and OL Lyonnes for the women.
