Folarin Balogun is expected to leave AS Monaco this summer with Premier League clubs interested in signing the forward.
Balogun is on the radar of Premier League teams after his excellent performances at this summer'sWorld Cup for the United States.
The 24-year-old scored twice as the tournament co-hosts thrashed Paraguay in their opening game, before forcing the deadlock-breaking own goal as Mauricio Pochettino's team beat Australia.
His performances follow a strong season at club level, where Balogun scored 19 goals in 43 games to earn Monaco's Player of the Season award.
Interest in Balogun is high, withThe Athletic reporting that a summer transfer is expected. There have been no talks over an extension to his contract, which runs until 2028, and Monaco are open to selling while his stock is high. Balogun's preference is also a move.
Early enquiries have taken place, with the ex-Arsenal striker's homegrown status particularly attractive toPremier League teams. Clubs across Europe are also weighing up approaches, with Serie A suitors also in the running.
Balogun made only six senior appearances forArsenal before signing for Monaco for a fee of around €30m in 2023, following an impressive campaign on loan at Ligue 1 rivals Reims.
He has scored 31 goals in 91 games for the French side, who value the American at around €50m (£43.2m).
