Barça concerned about Ansu Fati
Ansu Fati's situation is causing serious concern at FC Barcelona. The club would like to terminate the player's loan at AS Monaco, but as of now, no concrete alternatives have emerged, according to Adrián Sánchez.
The loan spell at Monaco began on a high note last summer: Fati netted six goals between September and October. However, his form has since dipped, and he has managed just one Ligue 1 goal in January. Ongoing muscle problems in his thigh have also hampered his progress.
At 23, Fati no longer convinces Monaco, who have decided not to trigger the €11 million buyout clause. Barcelona is evaluating several options, including a move to Saudi Arabia to help reduce their wage bill. The Catalan forward's contract runs until June 2028.
