On Wednesday evening, Barcelona left Club Brugge with a 3-3 draw in the Champions League. This result reignited criticism of Hansi Flick’s defensive system. Appearing on the beIN SPORTS set, Ruud Gullit did not mince his words.
"Why persist with a plan doomed to fail? Playing this way is counterproductive and downright kamikaze. We saw it last season: opponents have figured out how to break down this high defensive line. And yet, nothing has changed. When you’re Barça, you have to adapt, not stubbornly stick to your guns," declared the 1987 Ballon d'Or winner.
