Barça to sell one of its prospects to Mallorca

In a bid to boost their finances, FC Barcelona has decided to part ways with one of its young prospects.

The player in question is Jan Virgili. The 19-year-old winger is set to join Mallorca, who will acquire 50% of his rights. The deal is valued at €3.5 million, while the Catalan club retains a buy-back option. Virgili will follow in the footsteps of Pablo Torre, who also recently moved to Mallorca. The player will sign a five-year contract after completing his medical examination.

Despite strong performances with Barça's reserve team and the Spanish U19 national side—17 matches, 4 goals, and 2 assists—Virgili was not part of Hansi Flick’s plans. The presence of Raphinha and the arrival of Marcus Rashford had significantly limited his chances of featuring in La Liga this season.
