Fermin Lopez has become the main talking point of the summer transfer window lately, as Chelsea look to sign the Barcelona attacking midfielder in the final days of the market.

The Premier League giants are determined to reinforce their ranks in the final third, with Fermin emerging as the ideal target.

However, the club have not been able to woo Barcelona with a lucrative enough offer while Fermin, for his part, has yet to take a final call on his future.

This has led to intense speculation over the youngster’s future, which has shown no signs of stopping, at least until the transfer window slams shut.

Despite the noise around his future, though, Fermin Lopez remains as determined as ever in training and is currently preparing at full capacity for Barcelona’s upcoming match, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans are slated to take on Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, in what will be their third game of the new season.

Fermin has been able to play for 45 minutes in total during Barcelona’s first two matches so far. The player, therefore, is keen on making an impression in training and earning a place in the starting eleven.

The Jules Kounde-Eric Garcia phenomenon has already suggested that no Barcelona player is truly untouchable under Flick.

Fermin, therefore, still has a great chance of becoming a first-team regular in Catalonia, despite facing competition from the likes of Gavi, Dani Olmo and others.

As far as his future is concerned, Chelsea must improve their initial offer of €50 million if they are to have any hopes of signing the Spanish international this summer.

The player, for his part, must also make up his mind to join Chelsea. But as things stand, the attack midfielder is favouring a prolonged stay at Barcelona in order to continue his development.
