Barcelona are going through a bit of a rough period, as the club have had to confirm the injuries of Gavi and Fermin Lopez.
While Fermin might only miss out on action for about a month, Gavi has been ruled out up to five months, leaving Barcelona short of numbers in the attacking midfield position.
Dani Olmo is the obvious beneficiary of the duo’s injury, especially having failed to start most matches for Barcelona this season.
However, in order to look beyond Olmo in the number ten, Flick will look towards La Masia, where one name stands out in particular: Dro.
Some of the Barcelona first-team must already be familiar with Dro, who was part of the pre-season tour to Asia, due to the request placed by Hansi Flick.
That detail matters now more than ever. With the midfield stretched and options limited, Flick has the chance to hand minutes to a player he already trusts, reports AS.

The attacking midfield role demands quick turns, simplicity in decision-making, and the ability to link play. These are traits Dro has displayed consistently in training and youth competitions.
The youngster’s technical precision and calmness in tight spaces make him an ideal candidate to ease the workload on Olmo and provide Barça with another creative outlet.
Flick’s trust is also reflected in the fact that Dro has been handed the number 27 shirt, a gesture that signals readiness should the team need him.
With a packed fixture list and midfield absences mounting, Dro has an opening to establish himself in Flick’s plans. However, for now, one would expect Olmo to become the starter in the absence of Fermin and Gavi.
