Barcelona have agreed a deal with Fenerbahce for Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, Sport reports, as Wojciech Szczesny enters the final year of his contract.

Fenerbahce have accepted Barcelona's offer, around 4 million euros, with paperwork and official procedures to follow.

Barcelona expect to finalise the deal in the coming weeks, then loan Livakovic back for one season. He will finish the current campaign with Fenerbahce, then return next summer to join the squad.

The club view the fee as smart business and believe Livakovic fits the profile. Supporters may be waiting on a striker before the deadline, but the goalkeeping succession is already in hand, with Joan Garcia also part of next season's plans.

The player is keen, seeing the switch positively and awaiting final sign-off. Agent Andy Bara is involved and maintains strong ties with Barcelona decision-makers, including Deco and Joan Laporta.

Bara has previously worked on Barcelona deals, including those for Dani Olmo and Joan Garcia, and the club value his knack for unlocking negotiations when they turn difficult.
