Earlier this week, it was reported that Barcelona had a meeting with Nike on Tuesday to advance the negotiations involving the new deal.
The two parties have been locked in negotiations for months now but are yet to reach an agreement.
Although the negotiations have not exactly stalled, the delay in agreement has gravely impacted Barcelona, who are still relying on the new deal to boost the club’s finances.
However, after months of impasse, there could be good news lying just around the corner.
According to Mundo Deportivo, negotiations between Barcelona and Nike over a new deal are progressing quite well.
Legal advisors of the two parties are expected to travel next week to review the clauses of future contracts – an indicator that the final agreement could be coming soon.

However, the report does clarify that the new deal could take longer than a few days and might not be officiated for at least two weeks.
Barcelona’s new deal with Nike could go a long way in boosting the club’s finances as it desperately looks to return to 1:1 rule by the end of the year.
Barça are seeking a deal of at least ten years, with a steady income stream of €90 million per season. They are also demanding a lofty €100 million signing bonus.
The Catalans are equally keen on preserving the rights of BLM, the merchandising business, even though Nike wants to at least recover a percentage of all sales.
It will be interesting to see the final outcome as the two parties look to dole out the final details of the new deal.
