Those of a Barcelona persuasion have on Tuesday evening made known their bewilderment with the manner in which Chelsea opened the scoring in the clash between the sides.

This comes amid the widespread belief that Marc Cucurella was offside in the buildup to the goal.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with the aforementioned Chelsea.

As things stand with 45 minutes on the clock at Stamford Bridge, however, the Blaugrana find themselves trailing.

As much comes after Jules Koundé directed the ball into his own net from close range.

Marc Cucurella was the man to play the ball across the face of goal, with his low cross having caused all sorts of problems in the visitors’ defence.

As alluded to above, though, droves of Barcelona supporters have since made clear their belief that the goal should have been disallowed.

After Chelsea previously saw a pair of strikes ruled out, the Barca faithful have highlighted a still shot of Cucurella receiving the ball in what they are adamant was an offside position:
