In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace talent Daniel Munoz. It has been mentioned that the Catalan club would have to rival Real Madrid in pursuit of the Colombian full-back next year.
Munoz has enjoyed a solid campaign at the London club and has done well to put in a run of impressive performances on the right side of their defence. The Colombia international has registered two goals and grabbed two assists in 19 matches for the Eagles this season across various competitions.
The 29-year-old has proven his worth on the right flank by making 29 tackles, 13 blocks, 14 interceptions and 46 clearances in the Premier League. He has even distributed possession relatively well, based on his pass success rate of 73.1% in the English first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Selhurst Park will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Barcelona to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.

Munoz is a tough-tackling full-back, who can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his side on the defensive end of the field. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a decent passer as well.
The Colombian sensation can chip in by scoring and creating some crucial goals for his team from the right flank. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to make a smooth transition to life in La Liga.
We can expect Munoz to bring more quality and depth to Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick’s defence. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at the Nou Camp. Munoz would even help the Catalan club compete across all fronts in the coming years.
At 29, Munoz is playing in his prime, which makes him a decent choice for Barca to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. However, Flick has to give him some time to adjust to life at Barcelona before he can get the best out of the player.
