Although there are still some months left till the end of this season, FC Barcelona are seemingly already quite clear about the areas that they want to reinforce in the coming summer transfer window.

For instance, the Catalans will be looking to bring in another forward to add depth to their already highly effective offensive line, with names like Luis Diaz, Rafael Leao, and Alexander Isak all being linked with them.

Meanwhile, the Blaugranes will also be looking to enhance their full-back positions. However, it looks like they will not be relying on one of their young players who has been playing on loan this season for this purpose.

The young player in question is Alex Valle, who joined the Scottish side Celtic Glasgow last summer, but joined the Italian side Como in the winter. This move is seemingly paying high dividends to the defender, as he has been quite impressive playing under Cesc Fabregas at Como, and he has already established himself as a starter.

As a result, Fichajes reports that Barcelona are now one step away from securing their first sale of the summer as the Italian side is looking to exercise the purchase option that they have on the defender, and Barcelona also believes that this move is as good as completed.

With this operation, the Blaugranes will get around €8 million for the defender, which is acceptable for them, especially since Gerard Martin’s recent renewal eliminates the need for another young player for the full-back position.

This move, if completed, will allow Barcelona to make some space on their squad, while the monetary income can also prove to be handy when they look to sign more targets in the market next summer.

Meanwhile, it would also be a good move for the player himself, as he would continue to play and grow in Italy, something he would not have been able to do if he returned to the Blaugrana team.
