In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona are showing interest in Las Palmas playmaker Alberto Moleiro. It has been stated that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Spanish attacker to the Nou Camp next year.
Moleiro is having a decent campaign at the Spanish club after putting in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old has banged in a couple of goals and grabbed one assist in five matches for Las Palmas this season on all fronts.
The Spanish sensation has proven himself to be a capable presence in the opponent’s half as he is averaging 1.3 shots, 0.3 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass success rate of 87.5% in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2026. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Catalan club to sign him on the cheap next year. Still, Xavi should consider moving in for him as he has the potential to become a future star in Spanish football.

Moleiro can create some space for himself to get a few shots in on-target. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can make a few dangerous runs with the ball when he is playing well on the pitch.
The Spanish talent is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also function as a winger on either flank if asked to do so. Moliero will undeniably enhance the quality of Barcelona boss Xavi’s match-day squad.
At 20, the gifted attacker has the ceiling to become a world-class player in his position someday which makes him a decent option for the Catalan club to pursue in the long run. However, Xavi has to be patient with his progress as Moleiro is far from a finished product and would need time to prove his worth at the Nou Camp.
