Ferran Torres was one of FC Barcelona’s standout performers in Thursday’s friendly against FC Seoul during the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.
The 25-year-old forward scored twice after coming on in the second half, continuing the form he showed last season in front of goal and staking a claim for more regular involvement in the centre-forward position once the campaign begins.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Ferran has been attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, who are ready to offer him a lucrative three-year deal with €20 million annual wages.
The Spanish international is fully focused on improving on his strong performances from last season and has not received, nor would he seriously consider, any offers from Saudi Arabia, according to sources close to the player.
Ferran’s primary objective is clear: to challenge Robert Lewandowski directly for a starting spot in the centre-forward slot. He remains determined to succeed at Barcelona, where he is under contract until 30 June 2027.

Those around the former Manchester City forward confirm that his sole aim is to have an even better campaign than the last, and that there is no intention to leave the club.
Ferran ended the 2024/25 season with a return of 19 goals – the best tally of his career so far, and seven assists.
However, his season ended on a bittersweet note due to an appendicitis operation that caused him to miss the final La Liga matches
That setback is now behind him. He has worked hard over the summer and returned to pre-season in top condition. With added competition from Marcus Rashford, Ferran knows the fight for minutes will be tough. Still, he is committed to earning a key role.
Importantly, Ferran has the backing of head coach Hansi Flick, who counts on him as an important player.
Although he did not take part in today’s final training session due to a muscle overload, he is expected to be available for Monday’s match against Daegu FC.
