Following their hard-fought win over Girona in La Liga, FC Barcelona turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League as they face Olympiacos on Tuesday night.

Following their defeat to PSG in the last European matchday, it is imperative for Hansi Flick & co. to bounce back to winning ways and stay on track for a top-eight finish.

No Ferran and Raphinha

However, in a disappointing bit of development, journalist Adria Albets has confirmed that Barcelona will be without the key forward duo of Ferran Torres and Raphinha for the game against Olympiacos, as they are still not back in group training.

Raphinha has been out of action for almost a month now, having suffered a thigh injury in late September during the game against Real Oviedo.

There had been hope that he could start training with the group right after the international break, but a setback in his rehabilitation has delayed his return.

The plan now is for the Brazilian winger to be fully fit and ready for El Clasico later this week.

As for Ferran, the in-form forward returned from the Spain camp with muscle overload last week. He was expected to be ready for Girona, but it was not to be.

Now, the Spanish international, whose contract renewal is next on Deco’s agenda, is not training with the group in the final session before the Olympiacos game and will not be available.

This comes as a concerning blow for Barça, considering that they are also without Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo, both of whom also returned with injuries from their respective national team camps.

Hansi Flick will likely have to rely on the young talents of Toni Fernandez and Roony Bardghji once again tomorrow, especially considering that Barcelona play Real Madrid later in the week.
