Roony Bardghji produced one of his finest performances in Barcelona colours against Real Betis.

Until then, he had shown flashes of unquestionable talent, but at Estadio La Cartuja, the 20-year-old winger confirmed that he is much more than just a prospect.

The Swedish international not only scored a spectacular goal, but he also showed a natural connection with Lamine Yamal, indicating that he is ready to make a significant contribution in Hansi Flick’s setup.

However, since the game against Real Betis, Bardghji has barely played in Barça’s next two matches versus Eintracht Frankfurt and Osasuna.

Copa del Rey to provide Bardghji an opportunity

According to SPORT, everything points to Bardghji starting this Tuesday when Barcelona take on minnows CD Guadalajara in the Copa del Rey.

Barça begin their cup campaign against the RFEF Primera Division side, and, with such a demanding schedule, opportunities are expected for less regular players.

Bardghji would likely take up the right wing to allow Lamine to rest, and it remains to be seen who his attacking partners will be.

The Swede is aware that he must take advantage of every opportunity and the performance against Betis shows that he is more than prepared to become a valuable player.

So far this season, the 20-year-old attacker has played 12 times in all competitions, clocking 266 minutes in which he has one goal and two assists.

Bardghji has made a big impression on Flick and the rest of the coaching staff in the short time he has been at the club.

Now, the time has come for the young winger to showcase his talents more regularly with the Barcelona first-team setup.
