FC Barcelona have had to deal with various issues across different seasons. From occurrences on the pitch to concerns away from it, the Catalan club has rarely ever had a quiet season in terms of complications. However, even the fans themselves have created certain issues for Barcelona.

The club’s supporters section at the stadium and the animation groups have created complications that have resulted in the club being penalized for misconduct-related issues by various institutions. However, there was an agreement between said groups and Barcelona that clarified that such penalties would be paid for by those groups.

Unfortunately, they did not respond to the club after the most recent penalty worth €21,000. The club had already warned them about the issue and then demanded that they pay it out of their own pockets to ensure that the lesson and consequences were established.

Previously, Barcelona itself had been paying for such fines but the club ultimately decided to have more strict measures in place. Since the groups were ultimately unable to respond to the club’s demands, the Espai d’Animacio (Animation Space) was officially suspended in November of last year.

Now, however, a recent update from Xavi Espinosa claims that Barcelona captain Raphinha has stepped up and wants to help the animation stand and the supporters’ groups. The player is reportedly willing to pay the pending amount out of his own pocket.

He has allegedly offered this option directly to Barcelona president Joan Laporta so that the animation stand can return to the Montjuic stadium. Whether or not the club president takes him up on the offer remains to be seen, but it is a great gesture that will undoubtedly go down well with the fans themselves.

However, Barcelona still cannot allow these supporters to create further problems for the club. Discipline and a proper code of conduct is to be followed, and such issues in the future can be quite bad for the Catalan club, so there must remain extra caution no matter moving forward.
