At Barcelona, the conversation no longer revolves around tactics, rotations or upcoming opponents. Instead, the focus has shifted entirely to Ronald Araujo’s well-being.
The Uruguayan defender, one of the emotional pillars of the team, is going through one of the most delicate moments of his career.
His sending off against Chelsea, a mistake that quickly snowballed into a painful 0–3 defeat, marked a turning point.
Since that night, Araujo has stepped away from the pitch, not because of any physical injury, but because he requested time to recover mentally and emotionally from the pressure he has been carrying for months.
According to SPORT, the Barcelona captain travelled to Tel Aviv today in an effort to distance himself from the intensity of the current situation.
The trip is short by design, aimed to disconnect, breathe, visit the city and find a calmer space where he can regain clarity.

For the defender, it is a much-needed reset during a demanding period that has tested both his confidence and resilience.
Barcelona have fully supported his decision. The club has no interest in rushing him back or placing additional weight on his shoulders.
Instead, they want him to return only when he feels psychologically ready. The priority is for him to regain the peace of mind and the inner strength that he feels is lacking.
As reported before, his representatives recently met with Deco, explaining the urgency of giving Araujo a few days away from everything so that he can refocus and come back stronger. The club agreed immediately.
Inside Barça, the belief in Araujo has never wandered. They are convinced that the defender’s best version will reappear soon.
For now, though, Barcelona have chosen empathy, understanding and protection, and in return, they hope Araujo will return with renewed conviction.
