Barcelona CHAOS as meeting to discuss Man City defender Garcia CANCELED

Manchester City defender Eric Garcia remains a lightening rod for Barcelona's presidential candidates and the interim board.

A meeting called by interim president Carles Tusquets at 7pm last night involving the three candidates Victor Font, Joan Laporta and Toni Friexa was postponed, was then canceled.

Tusquets had planned to discuss buying Garcia immediately with the candidates after it had previously been agreed not to move for the defender until his contract expires in June. The call was being made on the request of coach Ronald Koeman.

Sport says Tusquets, however, then canceled the meeting on request of his fellow temporary directors after they hadn't been told of his plan.

Those who complained also insisted the guiding committee had already agreed to wait for Garcia until the summer and the decision should not be reversed.
