Le10Sport are reporting that Barcelona are looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain youth prospect Ilyes Housni (17), although the reigning Ligue 1 champions are hoping to convince the France youth international to sign his first professional contract with the side.
Housni has caught the eye in the UEFA Youth League this season. In just six appearances, he has scored eight goals, including a brace in the PSG academy’s recent 4-4 draw against Juventus. However, the Parisian side may have a fight on their hands to keep the talented prospect.
According to Le10Sport, Barcelona are interested in Housni, and are willing to offer him a first professional contract. However, PSG are also engaged in negotiations and are hoping to ward off the Catalan club’s interest in the player that has risen through the ranks at the Ligue 1 champions.
Youth prospects have often been tempted away from PSG in the past, but the club are now looking to take advantage of the rich pool of talent in the Île-de-France region, and give them more opportunities at the Parc des Princes.
