Barcelona coach Flick demands three big signings for the summer of 2026 – report | OneFootball

As we approach February, Barcelona remain one of the strongest sides in Europe and are still in contention for a quadruple.

While this season may once again end strongly for the Blaugrana, the coach Hansi Flick has already started thinking about next season.

According to Fichajes, Flick has requested three major signings from Barcelona for the summer of 2026, as he looks to significantly strengthen the unit.

Flick’s summer wishlist

The three players in question are Alessandro Bastoni, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva, all of whom have been identified as ideal targets for Barcelona next summer.

Starting with Bastoni, Flick believes he can be the missing link in the Barcelona backline that has struggled since the departure of Inigo Martinez.

The team has lacked that anchor in the left-sided defensive line and that is where Bastoni comes into the fray. With ample experience at the highest level, coupled with impressive technical abilities, the Italian international fits all the right boxes.

In midfield, Flick is interested in bringing in Bernardo Silva, who could be the cheapest of the three, as he is available on a free transfer.

Flick believes Silva could be an ideal reference for the young players from La Masia. His wealth of experience and tactical prowess could certainly improve the team as well.

Recent reports suggest Silva is keen on joining Barcelona soon, as he looks to put an end to his journey at Man City.

Finally, Flick’s third big target is Julian Alvarez. The Atletico Madrid striker has emerged as the ideal replacement option for the ageing Robert Lewandowski, who may no longer continue at Barça after the end of the season.

Alvarez has been struggling with form lately. But Barcelona rate the Argentine international quite highly, with Flick ready to endorse any potential move.
