Barcelona ‘concerned’ about one player’s performance this season | OneFootball

Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona have been left increasingly concerned by the level of performance produced by Jules Koundé across the season to date.

This come amid an ongoing dip in form on the part of the France international.

Koundé was of course widely considered one of Barcelona’s star performers across the length of the 2024/25 campaign.

From his berth at right-back, the former Sevilla man excelled on both sides of the ball, establishing himself as one of the standout players in world football in his role.

Koundé, however, has since struggled to replicate such form this time round.

The 27-year-old has been singled out for regular criticism on the part of the Barcelona faithful, in particular for his efforts at the back.

This comes chiefly owing to lapses in concentration, culminating in several high-profile goalscoring opportunities surrendered.

And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Koundé’s woes have evidently not gone overlooked on the part of the Camp Nou brass.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘There’s concern at Barça about Koundé’s role this season,’ with the defender viewed as ‘softer and more erratic’.
