Barcelona are weighing a move for Roma full-back Wesley, a Flamengo academy graduate, after an impressive first season in Europe. If any deal materialises, Flamengo would be entitled to two and a half per cent of the fee, about R$ seven million.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Catalan club have considered signing the right-back, and Roma are expected to seek around 40 million pounds, approximately R$ 280 million.

Formerly a right-back at Flamengo, Wesley has become effectively two-footed in Italy, featuring on both sides. In 2025/26 he has four goals and one assist in 32 games.

His versatility gives him a strong chance of featuring at the 2026 World Cup, and he could return to the Maracanã on 31 May when Brazil face Panama in a friendly.

Meanwhile, Flamengo face Botafogo at Nilton Santos on Saturday 14 at 20:30 Brasília time in the sixth round of the 2025 Brasileirão. The match will be streamed on Prime Video.
