As reported earlier today, Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah has opted to sign for FC Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The German international has been in talks with the Blaugrana for some time now and it appears that he has decided to move to the Catalan capital as a free agent when his deal runs out.
However, as it stands, Barcelona already have a plethora of options in the centre-back department, with the likes of Ronald Araujo, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Eric Garcia, and Andreas Christensen already available at Hansi Flick’s disposal.
As such, the Blaugrana could have to offload one player in the defensive department to make room for the Bundesliga star.
In that scenario, Mundo Deportivo reports that Andreas Christensen has the highest chance of leaving Barcelona in the summer to make way for Tah.

The 28-year-old Danish international has endured a torrid season so far, playing just one game, with injuries keeping him out of action.
There were talks of the former Chelsea man potentially leaving the club in January itself before being struck down by a fresh injury, from which he is close to returning.
Christensen’s contract with Barcelona expires in 2026 and so far there have been no negotiations over a new deal.
The defender continues to have admirers in the Premier League where he had a memorable stint with Chelsea.
As such, should Barcelona go ahead with the signing of Tah come summer, Christensen may end up on the chopping block, even though he has always maintained that he wishes to stay at the club.
