Barcelona could revisit Dusan Vlahovic option if top striker target slips away | OneFootball

With the departure of Robert Lewandowski at the end of the last season, FC Barcelona would have to find another striker to replace the Pole before the start of the next season. For this role, the Blaugranes have a clear favorite, i.e., the Argentine star Julian Alvarez, but getting him from Atletico Madrid is going to be anything but easy for them.

The Catalan club is expected to give its all to get this desired forward in the summer transfer window. However, if they are still unable to land him, they would have to turn their attention to some other options that he have in mind, including the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic

The Juventus forward is going to be one of the most desirable free-agents in the market this summer, as his contract with the Italian side is expiring on 30th June. According to SPORT, he can turn out to be an interesting option for Barcelona in case they miss out on Alvarez, and the Serb is still available as a free-agent.

Currently, the forward is negotiating a renewal with Juventus, and is asking for a contract of at least two years, with a salary of more than €8 million. The Old Lady has only offered him €5 million for now.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are also informed of his situation, but have already let his entourage know that he is not a priority option for them. However, things can change as the weeks go by. In addition to seeing him as an alternative to Alvarez, another scenario that can open the road for him to join the Catalan club would be the departure of Ferran Torres, who is generating interest from PSG.

It remains to be seen how this story develops in the coming weeks, but what is clear is that Barcelona do not have another player of his profile after Lewandowski’s departure, and would get a top-class player for free if they ultimately decide to make a move for him.
