Barcelona sealed their 29th La Liga title in style with a commanding 2-0 victory over rivals Real Madrid in El Clásico, extending their dominance at the top and clinching the crown with three matches still to play.
At a packed Nou Camp, Marcus Rashford gave the hosts the perfect start with a sensational free-kick after just nine minutes. The England forward curled a brilliant effort into the top corner beyond Thibaut Courtois, whose touch was not enough to keep it out.
Barcelona doubled their lead soon after through Torres, who finished expertly after a clever flick from Dani Olmo opened up the Madrid defence. Both Rashford and Ferran Torres dedicated their goals to manager Hansi Flick following the death of his father earlier in the week.
The hosts controlled large spells of the match and rarely looked troubled as chants of “Championes” echoed around the stadium.
Real Madrid offered little in response despite second-half efforts from Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia, while Robert Lewandowski nearly added a third late on for Barcelona.
The victory capped a remarkable league campaign for Flick’s side, who have now won 11 consecutive La Liga matches and remain unbeaten at home all season.
