Most Barcelona players have enjoyed a good time under new coach Hansi Flick, with the German tactician overseeing considerable improvement in almost every Barça individual this season.
However, there have been a few outliers, one of who is Eric Garcia. The former Man City starlet, despite a promising start to the season, appears to have fallen behind in the pecking order lately.
As reported by SPORT, Flick has started completely overlooking Eric Garcia following his return from injury earlier in the season.
Garcia, who featured quite prominently, in seven of the eight league matches this season, picked up a knock in mid-October and was sidelined for more than a month.
In the early parts of the campaign, the defender was identified as the ideal backup for the central defensive duo of Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez. His versatility also made him an ideal option in the number six role.

However, returning from injury in late November, Garcia has barely played for Barcelona.
Indeed, the defender has played a grand total of just eight minutes since returning from his injury, with Flick showing no signs of trusting the centre-back once again.
Garcia’s predicament at Barça could get worse as Ronald Araujo has now returned from injury, thus adding more options at the disposal of Flick.
The Spaniard’s importance in the Barcelona first-team, therefore, is set to dwindle further, which in turn, could pave the way for a potential January exit.
In fact, Garcia has been linked with a move away from Catalonia quite prominently in recent times, especially with the club desperate to shed their salary bill.
Garcia, for his part, has not ruled out a future exit and it appears a move to the Premier League is one of the potential scenarios that could play out.
