Despite operating behind first-choice goalkeeper Joan Garcia, Szczesny remains fully content with his current role and is expected to continue at the club next season.

According to the outlet, the Polish veteran has become an important personality within one of the youngest dressing rooms in Europe and Barcelona are very appreciative of that.

Growing influence inside Barcelona squad

Since arriving in Catalonia, Szczesny has earned enormous respect within the squad.

While he may not always dominate headlines, his influence around the training ground and inside the dressing room has become increasingly important for Flick.

The experienced goalkeeper is now completing his second season at Barcelona and has accepted his supporting role professionally.

Furthermore, with Lewandowski leaving the club, Szczesny is now set to become the oldest player in the squad at 36 years old.

That fact alone increases his importance in a group largely filled with young players still developing both on and off the pitch.

As per the outlet, Barcelona highly value the positivity he brings, his professionalism in training sessions, and his ability to maintain unity inside the squad throughout the season.

His experience is also viewed as crucial, as Szczesny has spent years competing at the highest level of European football and has already experienced virtually every possible situation during his career.

Lsaatly, even though Lewandowski was considered one of his closest friends inside the dressing room, reports indicate that the striker’s departure will not negatively affect Szczesny’s future at the club.

In fact, the opposite could happen.
