across the globe and is expected to make a big move soon.

Gyokeres has been making the headlines in the ongoing campaign, all thanks to his incredible displays. He has already netted 30 goals in 28 games apart from providing six assists. He is averaging 4.4 shots, 2.3 key passes, and 1.6 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The Swedish striker is intelligent and versatile enough to adapt to different styles of play. He is obviously clinical with his finishes and marks an aerial dominance. But unlike many strikers, he is also equipped well with on-the-ball qualities and link-up play attributes.

A long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski?

Barcelona are showing interest in Viktor Gyokeres as Robert Lewandowski‘s form has dipped in recent weeks. The latter is in the twilight of his career and his position needs to be filled by someone. Hence, the Sporting CP man would be an ideal choice to fill the big shoes.

Gyokeres has already proved himself for the Portuguese club and has done well on European nights. He has all the traits needed to script a legacy at a top-tier club. His link-up play abilities will be welcomed by the Spanish side with both hands.

The addition of the 26-year-old can surely improve Hansi Flick’s attacking line. Recent reports claim that Barcelona have reinstated the 1:1 rule, which would allow them to spend more. However, it’s still unclear whether they are in a position to splash a large sum of amount next summer or not.
