It is suggested that Joan Laporta and co. are keeping a close eye on the progress of AZ Alkmaar standout Vangelis Pavlidis.

Frontman Pavlidis has enjoyed a scintillating campaign to date, to the tune of 22 goals across all competitions, including 18 in 16 outings in the Dutch top-flight.

Such production has inevitably begun to pique attentions across the continent, with all of Chelsea, Fulham, AC Milan and Barca understood to be considering summer offers for the Greek.

The latter’s interest, though, is dependent on the future of Robert Lewandowski.

Hitman Lewandowski has of course come in for regular criticism this season, owing to a string of sub-par performances for Xavi’s side.

In turn, it has been suggested that the Pole could be moved on in the summer, amid interest on the part of a number of Saudi clubs.

In the case of ‘Lewa’ sealing a Camp Nou exit, Barcelona would then target Pavlidis, firm believers in the talents of the breakout AZ star.
