In recent weeks, there has been a lot of speculation regarding the future of Raphinha at Barcelona. The Brazilian, who has made a spectacular start to the 2026-27 season with 14 goals in eight appearances, has been preparing to sign a new contract at the Spotify Camp Nou, although the process will not be as straightforward as the Catalan club hopes.

Last week, Barcelona sporting director Deco confirmed that an agreement to extend Raphinha’s contract until 2030 had been reached, although there has been no movement since. This has seemingly created some uncertainty, and it is that uncertainty that several clubs are now hoping to take advantage of.

According to Globo Esporte (via El Nacional), there are four clubs ready to present lucrative packages to Raphinha: Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Al Hilal. All four players have made it clear that they want to sign the 29-year-old next summer, when he would only have a year left on his existing deal – if he were not to renew.

Raphinha has clear plan for his future

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to pay Raphinha €27m gross per year in his new deal, but the aforementioned quartet have already informed the Brazilian forward that they will pay much more to sign him. This means that he needs to make a decision, although the report makes clear that his priority is to remain in Catalonia.

Despite Raphinha have made an all-conquering start to the season, Barcelona know that they cannot afford to break the bank to keep it – especially considering he’ll be 30 in December. It’s why they must rely on his desire to only considering staying at the club, and fortunately, that is the reality that they are facing.
