Barcelona star Gavi has put an end to the rumours linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, making it crystal clear that his heart belongs to the Catalan club.

Despite reports suggesting PSG would be keen to sign him, Gavi insists he has no intention of leaving Barcelona, now or in the future.

Speaking in a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, the young midfielder addressed the speculation head-on,

“Yes, I’m absolutely clear about it. People believe what they read in the media, and I understand why they might think something could happen. But it’s not going to happen.

“I’m very calm. My dream is to spend my whole career at Barça. It’s the club of my life and where I want to succeed.

I don’t want to play anywhere else. I will give everything to make that happen.”

Strong bond with Flick and teammates

Gavi also spoke warmly about his relationship with new coach Hansi Flick, highlighting the bond they’ve built already, stating,

“We have a very close relationship, and you can see it. But it’s not just with me, it is the same with the entire team.

He’s a coach who is always there for you, and that matters a lot. I think it’s part of why we’ve done so well this season.”

When asked about his closest teammates, Gavi mentioned a familiar group: “The ones I get along with the most are Ansu, Pedri, Lamine, and Fermin.

“I’m sure I’ve left some out, but I’ve always gotten along well with them. The whole team has always supported me, because we’re a family.”

Lastly, on replacing Sergio Busquets, Gavi admitted that no one can truly take his place, adding, “Busi is unique. Maybe Marc Casado can try to take that role, but Busi is irreplaceable. I wish he were still with us.”
