Barcelona fans fume over Real Madrid Kopa Trophy ranking | OneFootball

Fans of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday evening made clear their collective bemusement with the final standings in the voting for the Kopa Trophy.

This comes after Blaugrana starlet Pau Cubarsí finished behind Real Madrid counterpart Dean Huijsen.

The Kopa Trophy was of course handed out a short time ago.

As part of the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, the standout young players in world football saw their efforts over the last 12 months recognised.

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal ultimately secured the prize, for the 2nd year running.

Teammate and close friend Cubarsí, though, was forced to make do with a 7th-placed finish, behind the likes of Désiré Doué and Kenan Yildiz.

It was the Spanish international’s spot behind a leading member of the backline at arch rivals Real Madrid, though, which caused nothing short of an uproar amongst those of a Blaugrana persuasion.

Adamant that Cubarsí was deserving of finishing well clear of Dean Huijsen, Barca’s fans flooded online, to express their collective displeasure.
