Marcus Rashford has been in the news of late, amid reports suggesting that FC Barcelona are trying to negotiate a lower fee than the €30 million purchase clause with Manchester United to sign him permanently.
The Red Devils, for their part, are firm on their stance of not being willing to offer any discounts to the Blaugrana, and will not entertain any proposals to renegotiate the fee.
In the meantime, the 28-year-old forward is currently sidelined with a muscle issue and is working on his recovery.
Providing an update on the situation, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Rashford is expected to be back in action for Barcelona next week.
The England international did not train last week and ended up missing the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg clash against Atletico Madrid due to knee discomfort, which he had picked up in the previous game vs RCD Mallorca.

The expectation was that Rashford would be able to return in time to face Girona this past Monday, but that did not come to be.
Now, as per the update from Romano, the Manchester United loanee could return next week, meaning he might end up missing a third game in a row, with Barça taking on Levante later this Sunday.
So far in his time at the club, Rashford has already managed to produce a return of 10 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, standing out as an important contributor for Hansi Flick’s team.
Barcelona, for their part, are very happy with how things have gone so far with his loan spell. And while they await his return from the knee discomfort, the Catalans will likely continue to try and convince Manchester United to agree to a fee lower than €30 million.
