Over the weekend, following the transfer of Inigo Martinez to Al-Nassr, reports emerged claiming that the Saudi Arabian club had their sights set on another Barcelona player – Ferran Torres.
Having enjoyed the best season of his career in 2024/25, Ferran has seen his stock in the market rise and the Middle-East nation are understood to be keeping close tabs.
However, according to an update from Santi Ovalle on Que T’hi Jugues, Ferran Torres has rejected an approach from Saudi Arabia, despite the offer being “significant”.
The 25-year-old striker has made it clear that he is staying at Barcelona. The player feels settled and valued at the club after making a big leap forward last season, thriving as a centre-forward under Hansi Flick.
The positional switch unlocked his best form, and the Barça coach has continued to use him in that role throughout pre-season.

With Robert Lewandowski turning 37 soon and nursing muscle problems that will keep him out of the opening La Liga fixtures, Torres is expected to play a key role.
Ferran’s pre-season was briefly interrupted by minor muscle issues, but he returned against Como, providing an assist for Lamine Yamal and nearly scoring himself
Marcus Rashford, who started centrally against Como on Sunday, is his main rival for the position, but the England forward has yet to be registered since his arrival.
Even if Rashford is cleared to play, Torres may have the edge thanks to his familiarity with the team’s system and his experience leading the line last season.
Fully recovered and in top condition after a dedicated summer of training, Ferran Torres is now focused entirely on Barcelona and La Liga, and has no intention of heading to Saudi Arabia anytime soon.
