FC Barcelona forward Ferran Torres started the 2025/26 season on fire. He was scoring goals for fun in the first half of the campaign, but in recent weeks he seems to have lost his touch in front of goal and, with it, his starting place.
The Spaniard is going through one of those spells every forward eventually faces, when the ball stops going in and the noise around him starts getting louder. Ferran has often frustrated with his finishing, and this run is doing little for his reputation.
Now, as per SPORT, Ferran is not letting himself get rattled by it. He remains calm and convinced the drought will not last much longer. The player is staying relaxed despite the growing focus on his recent lack of goals.
That mindset matters at Barca. A forward can survive a dry spell if his confidence stays intact, but once doubt creeps in, every missed chance starts to weigh twice as heavily. Ferran has been there before, but this version of him feels different.
He has already shown this season that he can deliver goals when his rhythm is right. Dry spells are frustrating, but they do not erase the fact that he remains a sharp runner, an intelligent mover and a player capable of swinging matches when he finds his timing again.
Despite common belief, Ferran is a very valuable player for Barcelona. He brings a lot of quality, both off the bench and as a starter, and despite his tendency to miss big chances, he remains a good finisher.
From a Barcelona perspective, they will be hoping the Spaniard rediscovers his best level sooner rather than later. All it takes is one game for a striker to snap back into form, and we will have to wait and see whether that comes against Rayo Vallecano.
