A recent revelation from SPORT has reported that for the first time since arriving at Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski has opened the door to a possible move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the season
Notably, Lewandowski’s current deal with Barcelona expires at the end of the campaign, meaning the coming months will be decisive.
At 37 years old, the striker has already spent several seasons attracting strong interest from Saudi Arabian football.
Until now, however, Lewandowski had shown little interest in even engaging with those proposals.
For a long time, the Pole felt settled in Barcelona, both professionally and personally.
That sense of stability played a major role in his decision to ignore the multimillion-pound offers coming from Saudi Arabia, despite their financial appeal.
What has changed this season is Lewandowski’s role under Hansi Flick.
While he continues to contribute and accepts his responsibilities with professionalism, he is no longer guaranteed a starting place every week.

Flick’s system has demanded more rotation, and Lewandowski has increasingly found himself in a more secondary role. Naturally, this has prompted reflection.
The striker is fully aware that his contract expires at the end of the season and that his future at Barcelona is far from certain.
Against this backdrop, Lewandowski has now become more receptive to the interest coming from Saudi football and among the clubs pushing hardest is Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal have even explored the possibility of bringing forward Lewandowski’s arrival to the current winter transfer window.
However, that option is currently ruled out, with all parties focused on reassessing the situation in the summer.
For now, the Polish striker remains committed to finishing the season strongly with Barcelona.
Everything now hinges on Barcelona’s next move, as Lewandowski is waiting to see what kind of contract offer the club puts on the table.
If the proposal is deemed too low or short-term, the chances of him moving to Saudi Arabia will increase significantly.
