Ferran Torres is enjoying a spectacular end to the 2025/26 season with FC Barcelona.
The Spanish international endured a rough few months in 2026 but is set to sign off on the campaign on a strong note, having been consistently among the goals in recent matches.
However, speculations about his future at the club continue to do the rounds, even as the Catalans are on the hunt for a new striker.
It has been suggested that Ferran’s future could be linked with the decision of Robert Lewandowski.
At the same time, some reports have indicated that the Spaniard could be sacrificed in order to make room for Julian Alvarez.
However, as per SPORT, Ferran has made it clear that he wants to stay and win many more trophies wearing the Barcelona shirt.
While endless transfer rumours continue, the Valencia-born attacker is simply focusing on his football
Ferran’s statistics speak for themselves. He is currently the second-highest scorer in the Barça squad with 21 goals in 47 appearances. Only Lamine Yamal, with 24, has scored more than him.
In his last four league appearances, he has found the net four times, including the goal that effectively sealed the Clasico victory last Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou.
With his contract running until 30 June 2027, Barça’s sporting department, led by Deco, will need to address Ferran’s future sooner rather than later.
With Lewandowski’s continuity still uncertain, the club know they must move quickly if they want to renew “the Shark” and avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.
The player himself could not be clearer about where his priorities lie. He has demonstrated it both on the pitch and whenever he has been asked publicly about his future.
He also made it obvious on social media after the league title celebrations. Posting pictures from the championship parade on Instagram, Ferran wrote: “We’ll repeat this often.”
The message leaves little room for interpretation. It was a clear statement of intent. At 26 years old, Ferran feels like an important piece of Hansi Flick’s Barça project and wants to continue writing his story at the Spotify Camp Nou.
