After the match, PSG manager Luis Enrique addressed the media, where he was asked about Barcelona and their Champions League chances this season under Hansi Flick. With two of the tournament’s top contenders facing off, Enrique shared an encouraging message about the club he once played for and coached.

“In any case, I see them as clear contenders to win the Champions League,” Enrique said postgame (h/t Culture PSG). “They’re playing at a very high level, and this is only the start of the tournament. There are still six games left, and we’ll see who qualifies and how.

“I have no doubt that Barça will be there, and I hope we are too. I really like the way Barça play, and there are very few teams with such a clear identity, just like ours.

“There are others I won’t name, but Barça are without question among the top candidates—just as we are. But this is only the beginning. The real competition starts in the knockout rounds, and that’s where we’ll see how every team responds.”
