After a horrible early phase of the season, the situation on the injury front has improved significantly for FC Barcelona over the last few months.

The Catalans have seen several long-term absentees return to fitness and action, including the likes of Ronald Araújo, Frenkie de Jong, and Gavi. Andreas Christensen is also nearing his return from injury after having spent almost the entire season on the sidelines.

As a result, there are only two players who might need some more time to get back on the pitch, i.e., the goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen and the midfielder Marc Bernal.

However, there was good news for Barcelona fans regarding the situation of one of these players, i.e., Ter Stegen, who took a big next step in his recovery process, as he started training with his gloves and boots on.

The German goalkeeper took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his happiness on this occasion, and his posted message went: “Every comeback starts with small victories. Very happy to put on my gloves and boots again after some time! 😍”

The post was accompanied by a heart-eyed emoticon, further emphasizing the Barcelona captain’s satisfaction with this new step towards recovery.

There is no doubt that a lot of Blaugrana fans would be looking forward to seeing the goalkeeper back in action within the sticks, even though his replacements have not allowed the team to miss him a lot.

First, it was Iñaki Peña who took responsibility for protecting the Catalan team’s goal, and he did not give many reasons for complaints on the pitch.

Then Hansi Flick decided to prefer Wojciech Szczęsny ahead of the La Masia graduate, and the Pole has also been performing at quite a high level after some shaky first few games in the Blaugrana shirt.
